Barona is SSP Finland’s new HR service partner

The service company Barona and SSP Finland have signed a multi-year cooperation agreement. In the future, Barona will be one of SSP Finland’s most important personnel service partners in the recruitment and hiring of restaurant staff, along with another personnel service partner.

SSP Finland operates restaurant and lounge services at Helsinki-Vantaa, Rovaniemi, Oulu and Turku airports and Starbucks cafés in Helsinki. The cooperation with Barona will therefore focus on tourism hubs in particular.

“We quickly found a common thread with Barona, as we both have similar ideas about the importance of the employee experience, for example. Barona is a partner that we believe can support SSP Finland’s strong growth and HR strategy in a long-term way,” says Marjo Keravuori, HR Manager at SSP Finland.

Both companies want to build cooperation especially on good employee experience and leadership. For example, Barona has its own wellbeing team, which offers comprehensive and proactive wellbeing support, also in case of possible leisure challenges.

“We share similar values, which makes it particularly rewarding to start working together. We at Barona are therefore delighted to be able to offer our employees interesting job opportunities in airport environments in the future. With our extensive knowledge and experience, we are sure to be able to support SSP’s strategic objectives,” says Katri Lempinen, Barona’s Sales Director for Travel and Hospitality.

In the future, the cooperation may extend to international recruitment, among other things.
