Upper Crust has been serving freshly-baked baguettes to customers since 1986 with the opening of its first site at Waterloo Station. Since then, the brand has grown to more than 100 stores operating in more than 15 countries, demonstrating its universal appeal among customers around the world.

The premium product range, from the famous hand-filled baguettes, flatbreads and sandwiches to delicious pastries and muffins, is specifically tailored to travellers looking to eat and drink on the go. The brand also offers handcrafted coffee made by expert baristas. Upper Crust is SSP’s own brand. Finland’s first Upper Crust can be found from Helsinki Airport.

Since 1971, Starbucks Coffee Company has been committed to ethically sourcing and roasting high-quality Arabica coffee. Today, with 30,000 retail stores in 80 countries, Starbucks is the premier roaster and retailer of speciality coffee in the world.

SSP and Starbucks joined forces in 2008 and the partnership has continued to go from strength-to-strength, with SSP now operating Starbucks outlets at key travel locations across Europe. These outlets offer passengers the same high standards of service, choice and quality of product they would expect to find at a high street Starbucks store. SSP Finland operates three Starbucks stores in Finland.

THE OAK BARREL IRISH PUB

SSP Finland’s own brand, Oak Barrel Irish Pub is legendary among Helsinki aiport’s passengers – many holidays start there. The Oak Barrel is one of the keystones of Helsinki Airport’s restaurant selection and it has a wide and active fan-base on social media. The Oak Barrel Irish Pub has an eclectic and varied selection of beers including seasonal beer from Finnish craft breweries. In addition to the extensive beer offering, the Oak Barrel Irish Pub offers a wide range of fine and mature whiskeys and other carefully selected drinks. Oak’s traditional pub food is made from first-class ingredients.
